Choosing an Adventure with North Star Naturalist

Prices vary depending on tour type and the level of personalization you would like. Basic Level public hikes generally run $52 per adult. Basic Level private hikes are $92 per adult. Basic Level Tide pooling rates are $35/52 for Basic Level public and private tours respectively. Customized, private "Pick Your Own Trail" tours start at $240 per adult. All of my tours can be customized for you, your family and friends, your work team, or your class for a premium. Call, text, or email me to learn more about how I can make your experience in nature unforgettable. Finally, in an effort to promote the education and exposure of children to nature and science, I offer 50% off to all people under 18 years of age on all tours. Children under 4 are free. No exceptions, no fine print! Children are the future stewards of our planet — this is my small way of making nature more accessible for them.

That's a wrap! ✨ What a weekend to finish off my mushroom tour season! Back-to-back sold out tours, plus a few smaller weekday sessions made for a lot of cool fungi sightings! I even saw a few species I had not yet seen in San Diego! 🤓🍄

Our first Fungi Foray of the year was a great success! 🍄 Thanks to everyone who came out! We saw sooo many mushrooms, lichens, and other fascinating wildlife — overall a fun, relaxing adventure through a beautiful urban canyon.

This foray was especially precious because of all the curious youngsters in our group. Children are so funny, so enthusiastic, so observant, and so clever — they make perfect naturalists!

Looking forward to more mushrooms this winter! Don't forget your rain dances. 💃
