Raised in the desert, educated on the coasts, and happiest on the trails, I have made it my life's work to share nature and science with people of all kinds—including you!

My goal is simple: Connect people with nature! With me, exploring outside is fun, refreshing, and eye-opening.

So far, I've pursued this goal through ocean research, science journalism, museum public relations, social media, outdoor education for youngsters, tour guiding, multimedia, and fine art. That sounds like a lot of stuff! My career has been a meandering journey in many directions, but nature has always been my North Star.

I am formally educated in marine science (B.S.), science communication (M.S.), and thematic interpretation (C.I.G.), and I am Wilderness First Aid certified (NOLS), so you can be sure you're getting a professional, thoughtful, and safe experience with me.
